Whit Mason

Whit has extensive experience working at the intersection of communications, conflict and political change. He started and edited two newspapers in Russia, was a staff writer for Asiaweek in Hong Kong and covered the war in Bosnia. The wide range of programmes and teams he has advised or led include the UN’s justice coordination office for southern Afghanistan; the UN Mission in Kosovo; the PM’s communications teams in Ukraine and Macedonia; and InterNews in Azerbaijan. He has designed countering-violent extremism interventions in Nigeria and the western Balkans, and published critically acclaimed books and essays on political conflict and change in leading publications.
